Change to prescribed Needles for pens

Is it just my GP who has changed my prescription for my needles?? He's changed me to shorter needles (20mm) and the manufacturer and amount (80) has changed. I noticed the length of the needle but I thought let's give it a go-after a few days I was racking up short acting to counteract the rising blood sugars. Bearing in mind, I was due my 6 x monthly HBA1c as well. The nurse said that all (she didn't clarify the 'all') GPs had changed diabetics on pens to the new needles-again with the not telling us. She spoke to the chemist and has changed it back to the original prescription (25mm and 100 in a box). I'm not slim and the needle has to get through a certain amount of body fat-the new one doesn't. So guess who's asking for an explanation from her GP next week???? Anyone else had this problem???

Apologies Diakat-my mistake-the needles were 6mm and they changed to 4mm. Can't use shorter needles as last week proved with dramatic affect. I appreciate that I've had diabetes so long that this is normal to me (everyone else who isn't diabetic is abinormal) and the chemist didn't help saying it was my insulin. But onwards and upwards...……..

Thanks for you reply 22nw22. I did check the dosage and the insulin was flowing through the syringe and I also check that there is insulin in the vial. Must just be me who's having a conversation with their GP next week.
