I'm happy with my weight as it is. It's the high salt content that worries me slightly.Hi Kevkevkev, welcome to the forum, ist i will ask @daisy1 to provide you with the info for new posters, as cheese is mostly fat it is ok for diabetics to eat,but i would say if you need to lose weight....not too much, clive
I would say at the min I am probably eating 3 or 4 lots of toasted cheese a day.... too much?Just how much cheese are you actually eating? A piece of toasted cheese is nothing to be concerned over. If you go onto an LCHF diet then you are likely to lose more fluids, and therefore more salt, etc, which need to be replaced so unless you also include a lot of processed rather than fresh food in your diet, and/or cover you food with added salt, you shouldn't need to worry about the amount in a piece of cheese. But if it really worries you, choose a different variety as some cheeses are more salty than others.

PS And you are actually more likely to see an eventual reduction in cholesterol rather than an increase. Just watch the types of fat you're eating.
Hi I'm a 42 yr old type 2 4x 500mg metformin a day. I'm on trying to get to grips with LCHF, the main thing that worries me is how much cheese i'm eating at the minute (Lidl roll toasted with melted cheese mmm), any advice or thoughts on this please, mainly worried about effects on Cholesterol and Blood Pressure.
