Isn't that amazing. I have tightened up on my carb intake and raised my fat intake and within a week my lifelong craving for chocolate has gone! Makes me think that all these years, it wasn't the actual chocolate my body wanted but the fat content!

Not only that but I no longer need to nibble in the evenings. Sat in front of the TV was the worst - I couldn't seem to manage that without something to chomp on. All week I have had no more urge to nibble.

Last night I had a salad with coronation chicken at 5.30 and had nothing else all evening apart from some water. Wow! Whoohoo! By George, I think I've cracked it!

What with that, an obvious reduction in the external signs of the 'Fungus Factory' (and presumably internal ones too) and a weight loss of 7lbs in 10 days, I reckon I may finally have found the missing link..........well, for me, anyway.

I never did go low-fat, but even then it seems that I still wasn't having as much as I needed.

And - not only that, I have not had any insulin in over a week. Still taking the Metformin but the less insulin the better for my weight loss too.

Not quite as low as I would like but waking with numbers around 6 or just over and I am happy with that at this stage in the proceedings.

Am watching this with avid interest to see where it goes..................

It is great isn't it the cravings I have had recently have been stress related rather than because of hunger.

I had real hunger pangs this morning when I didn't quite skip my breakdfast, but it was later than it should have been - first time in quite a while. They were an almost permanent feature of my life before.

I'm also big on the quality not quantity treat appraoch, I don't need anywhere as much of a wonderfully intense 70% G&B

I used to go through two-three bars a day now I don't even want chocolate any more,it's wonderful!!

Normal milk choc is quite sickly now... Just a cocoa addict now.
