Chocolate

Hello to all

My wife has been T1 for 20+ years and loves chocolate (who doesn't?). I, as chief cook in our house, have her diet under pretty good control, we eat low carb meals most of the time (90%) with the occasional treat. The thing is she likes to have a chocolate treat once a week at the weekends and a couple of drinks (G & T or a couple of glasses of wine usually). Am I correct in thinking that this is ok even with the inevitable blood sugar spike? She would say "if I can't have a bit of chocolate once a week...etc". I tend to agree with this as healthy living is a compromise for most people. Does anyone agree with this?

Cheers

Paul

HI, Blannman

" under pretty good control" That's what's important.

Looks to me that your wife is getting the best kind of treatment in the world.

No point being miserable.

Roy.
