I bought a home testing a few weeks ago with the intention of 'casually' monitoring my cholesterol levels which were very high at my last check up (about May time)...so, I tried it today as I want to come off my statins if possible but of course be sensible about it. Well the reading is so low it doesn't even have a corresponding figure on the little chart enclosed with the kit, the lowest being 3.12
I am aware that too low cholesterol is possibly not good either. I have been low carbing for a month now.
My main question is does anyone know if these kits are reliable? They are over the counter kits from the chemist, one use only.
