Cholesterol

I have just rung my doctor's secretary for the results of a cholesterol test I had done on 1 September this year. She gave me three numbers. Overall 5.5, LDL 2.8, HDL 1.9. My previous results from Feb last year were cholesterol 5.1 Trig 1.4. Unfortunately i do not have the LDL and HDL for this, should have asked but didn't think of it at the time. I was rather disappointed with my cholesterol going up from 5.1 to 5.5.
Would appreciate any comments please.
 
Is there anything else going on with you at the moment? My cholesterol had risen slightly in my last test up to 5.2 but as my hba1c had sky rocketed to 9.2 the diabetic nurse seemed to think it could be related to the high blood sugars.
 
Nothing else going on at all that I know of. sugars are as usual ie in the 5s and 6s
