hi I went to see a specialist for ongoing stomach problems she wants me to go into hospital to have a camera in my bum ,the thing is she knows im diabetic but for the first day in hospital you have a very strong laxative and no food the next day you have the test but my sugar levels will be very low with no food
 
You should be able to manage by only taking your basal insulin, or are you on mixed insulin?

I'm guessing that's Humulin M3 or 70/30. It's probably best then to call the clinic for advice. If they're taking you in the day before, then they can control your insulin levels with a drip.
 
thank you Robert ive just been talking with my clinic on the day before the test I have to keep checking my blood and if I go to low I can drink a sugary drink
 
They told me to drink things like Bovril in hot water it seemed ok I'm type 2
