Hi all,

It's nice to meet you all.

I am writing here as I am concerned about diabetes. I have recently been experiencing symptoms of dry mouth and needing to urinate frequently and so bought a metre to test my glucose.

I had the folllowing results.

Tuesday 9:30pm - 4.4
Wednesday 07:00am - 5.4 - why the increase?
Wednesday 20:15pm. 2 hours after eating - 5.8
Thursday 07:00am - 5.7 then 5.4 - I ate chocolate the night before.
Thursday 18:00pm - 5.3 before meal.

How do these look? I'm concerned my glucose raised over night with no sugar. Also seems borderline. My glucose a few moments ago seems high too but I did eat lots of carbs about 5 hours ago.

Also, if I'm on the verge of pre-diabetic, is it likely I can reverse this? Like put my body back to normal?

I'm currently 24, weigh 250lbs and am 6ft 3

Thanks for any help.

your levels are in the non-diabetic area... if you want to avoid becomming diabetic... then do keep fit avoid gaining weight and dont eat excess amounts of wheat, sugar and fruits, cakes sweets and especially don´t drink juice... and sweet sugary drinks

eat berries salats and cheese meat and all greens vegetables grown over ground, nuts all kinds ... fish and drink water ..

avoid thalates/phathalates .... and pollutions... maybe also artificial sweeteners...

pre-diabetic fasting level is around 6.5 mmol diabetic is considered around and over 7.5 mmol

it is normal that the liver dumps a bit more glucose right in the morning... maybe to release a bit of the reserve for when people in ancient times went out for hunting in the mornings..or were on the move on an empthy stomack

They are perfectly normal levels for a non diabetic so nothing to worry about

you can have dry mouth for a number of reason, if eating foods with too much salt, if drinking too much alcohol, if having an infection... and a lot of other reasons...

Hi @Geg1992 ,

Welcome to the forum! The numbers look OK to me! But I'm not a doctor.

Book a visit with a health care professional for peace of mind.

They are normal non-diabetic levels.
Normal levels for non-diabetics are
before eating 4 to 5.9
at least 90 minutes after meals under 7.8

We aren't doctors, so if you are at all concerned, visit your GP and ask for the relevant blood tests.
