conflicting advice

I have been a type 1 diabetic for 47 years and on a pump for the past 2 years. I feel really annoyed . I went to my GPs for blood test range so that the hospital diabetic team have the results for my visit today. Since then I got a call from the GPs nurse to say go in and see her. My cholesterol level was a bit high at 5.3 even though on Simvastatin for many years. Of course you always feel that they know best and she has changed me from one statin to another. Then I go to diabetic care and they said that they wouldn't have changed medication as the readings of HDL (good cholesterol) was good and well within limits. My sodium levels were low and nurse said that it may be a one off and check in 6 weeks. However the care team were quite concerned and ordered more tests. Sorry for the rant but its a battle of who knows your health needs and can they not sing from the same sheet!!!! By the way - they both agreed that HBA1C was good at 7.2 especially for my diabetic 47th anniversary

I'd be inclined to go with the advice of your hospital team rather than your gp practise Debs, happy anniversary btw
