Hi, thanks for that. Not sure what you mean by 'turn' but i bought 2 new batteries anyway and still no joy. Got the monitor from my GP about 6 weeks ago and it worked fine. Strips in and out no problem. Then this week, just cant get them in....its as if its blocked. Battery indicator was at about 25% so i got the 2 new ones,to no avail. I'll check your link out, maybe i can sus something from that. Thanks again !
People who don't listen to others i.e. the 8 members of this forum I have put on ignore as they talk such utter **** all the time. This now includes the member who thinks they are a moderator.
1. Are you putting the strip in the right way - not upside down/blood sucking end into the meter. (Yes I have done this when distracted)
2. They are the right strips for the meter? Contour have a range of meters and they do different strips for different meters. I have had to return a box to a chemist once after they issued the wrong ones.
Finally - does the screen display any messages/error message? The manuals are available on the Ascencia/Bayer website - just Google "contour TS meter manual"

So it seems like there's a hardware issue if your strips don't physically fit. I'd give Bayer a ring, I think you'll find that they'll send you a replacement meter free of charge
