Corrections

From a personal perspective I'm not comfortable with either @ElkBond

With regards to corrections, much depends if there's still IOB, if I'm above target and still have IOB then a 20-30min walk can be as effective than giving a correction dose.

Last night 2 hours after dinner I checked my BS, it was 11 ! so I took a correction of just 1/2 unit of NovoRapid. 2 hours later I was 8.9 (no activity taken) I took my usual 10 units of Levemir and woke up on 5.3. I am a little Insulin sensitive, so it goes to show if I took more than 1/2 a unit, I could of ended up in trouble. Before lunch today, 4.5

I used to use a NovoRapid 1/2 unit pen, but they became unattainable, so my DSN gave me two 1/2 unit echo pens, brilliant pen and very pleased with it. The half unit is a godsend for me.
It could be something that might help you Mep, may be under a different name though.

Not forgetting, as well as the 1/2u you corrected with you still had IOB from your previous blous.

The half unit pens are excellent, of all the pens I've used the Novopen Echo was by far the best, pleased your bg levels are behaving well today RRB

Exactly noblehead, and a tiny correction amount can affect me a lot.
