HI,
I have just got a new all singing all dancing meter, It collects data on my sugar levels. Could this data be sent to an organization for use within the research sector?
The more data collected and processed there more accurate the research?

Cheers Doug.

For the meter data to be of any use for research purposes a lot more than just blood sugar readings would be required. Research organizations would also need to know about your personal habits & lifestyle - drinking, smoking, your diet & excercise routine etc. They would also need to know about any medical problems you may have and what treatment you receive. They'd need to know what insulin regime your on and the type/brand of insulin you use, your carb to insulin ratio ...... the list goes on.

Personally I wear a tinfoil cap when ever I test - just in case...

As logindetails says they probably need more details of the user for the data to be much use
