I do not have diabetes
Lately I've been really, really tired all day long and I am thristy almost all of the time and I pee a lot. I also got some headaches and palpitations from time to time.

Could this be because I've recently gained 3-4 kg in about 1-2 months. It's because I used to eat very less and I decided to gain some weight and I've eaten normally but unhealthy foods and I might have eaten a lot of sweets but I've always been. But not more than a bar of chocolate per day...

Dear Mary

Tiredness and increased thirst, need to visit the loo are amongst the diabetes symptoms but that does not mean that you have diabetes. Your symptoms may be completely unrelated to diabetes.

The only way to find out is to bite the bullet, go to your doctor and get yourself tested. No one really likes to go to the doctors but in this situation you only stand to gain. Either you have diabetes, in which case the sooner you know about it the better you should be able to control it. Or, as I sincerely hope, you do not and the sooner you know the sooner you can place your mind at rest.

Fingers crossed for you

Pavlos
