Hi I have prediabetes for almost 1 year. I was working as a driver for deliveroo and ubereats. Work has stopped or slowed down in my area. So I now have a job in Aldi supermarket. Have only been their 2 x weeks. But coronavirus and prediabetes what do i do? I am very confused? Do I work or not? Any advice please let me know.
Government advice for most people without symptoms is to follow social distancing rules. The exception is for those people that fall into the groups listed below who should isolate for 12 weeks (if this applies to you, you should have been contacted by the NHS). If you have any symptoms you should self-isolate for 14 days.
people who have received an organ transplant and remain on ongoing immunosuppression medication
people with cancer who are undergoing active chemotherapy or radiotherapy
people with cancers of the blood or bone marrow such as leukaemia who are at any stage of treatment
people with severe chest conditions such as cystic fibrosis or severe asthma (requiring hospital admissions or courses of steroid tablets)
people with severe diseases of body systems, such as severe kidney disease (dialysis)

There is nothing in any of the government guidance that mentions that prediabetics should behave differently from the majority of the rest of the population - which is by using 'stringent social distancing'.
Since your work cannot be done from home, you are encouraged to continue working while doing that distancing.
As @Goonergal has said, the people who need to Shield (stay home and not leave it for the next 12 weeks) are those with complex or serious medical issues which place them at significant risk should they contract COVID-19.
If you want to check all the current UK government guidelines, you can find them at www.gov.uk/coronavirus
It is not really very confusing, prediabetes is a warning that you may get (or may not get) diabetes in the future if you don't make changes. You can hardly be at a special risk due to something you haven't got yet.
I don't see anything confusing in that. Diabetes is on the list. Pre-diabetes is not. As you do not have a diabetes diagnosis, it doesn't apply to you.
