Hurrah! Finally GP has agreed I can have the tests, have private health so being done privately hopefully. Meantime he has stopped the Gliclazide and Januvia as neither are working. Levels fluctuating wildly all day despite low carbing and plentiful exercise.
So await the outcome and hopefully effective treatment. Trying Victoza meantime, starting tomorrow.
Life is pretty good right now. My BG has been a bit erratic but that seems to have settled again today. Can't wait for the end of the diet, it seems the closer I get to the end, the more yummy food I see.
Keep fighting girl, sometimes it's the only way to get what we want/need.
Just out of interest did the doctor know you had private medical insurance before agreeing to the test? I know I've found it easier to get tests/treatment agreed for other health issues when there's no cost implication for the surgery. This obviously shouldn't be the case but I bet in a lot of situations it does make a difference to the treatment you receive.
Yes he did but I think if it came to it they would fund it because my levels have become so erratic so quickly. I figure I have some cover why not use it? Had my slipped disc diagnosed along with my knee which needed a meniscus tear sorting.
