I have noticed recently that if i eat a lot of sugar within 15 minutes i will just crash and fall asleep. I will often stay asleep for up to 6 hours, occasionally i'll wake up but be too tired to move and just go back to sleep. It seems weird as i normally only sleep about 5 hours per night. I did a test and ate a whole packet of double stuff oreos at 5pm and didn't wake up until 2am. I'm overweight as i'm 6' tall and 15.5 stone and have done no excercise for the last 3 years because of a knee injury.
I agree that you need to see your GP for a formal diagnosis but also wanted to add that eating sugar in large quantities is not healthy for anyone so even if it isn't diabetes please don't do that to yourself!
