Take the plug off the toaster lol! My daughter did the same tonight with a cinnamon bagel. It smelled sooo good but i stuck with my tuna mayo, gherkin and finn crisps... I still have the fear of god in me after reading all the bad things that can happen with high bg. I had no idea it was so serious until i began feeling cold constantly, needing to sleep all the time and losing my hair, so for now resisting is easy. But I know I will slip up, especially when I get upset. Im definitely an emotional eater and there are times when only chocolate will do...
I know what you mean, I lost my staffy, Lotte, a year ago. She was 15 and I had to make the decision to let her go because she was so ill with Cushings disease and a brain tumour. I do hope your little dog gets well soon. They are such a huge part of our lives, just like children i think. I have my little Jackahuaha, Prince. to walk with now and ive found it has a positive effect on my bg tooMe too, I get upset and head for the cheese and onion crisps, and a glass or two of wine. Problem is I don't stop at one packet.
Been finding it hard the last couple of days, our lovely 12 year old dog is not so well. Tummy upset. 18 months ago she had liver problems, but she's been doing very well.
Walking her each day helps my bs.
The mug cake and peanut cookies sound delicious! Id love to give them a try please. My mouth is watering now lolWeeeelll...
There's LC hot choc
LC 3 minute mug cakes
Grated 70% choc on berries, with cream
70 % choc by itself
Or melted and stirred into cream
Choc truffles
Choc biscuits...
I recently made some peanut butter cookies, then sat a square of dark choc on the top of them while they were still warm. They were lush.
Let me know if any of those appeal, and I'll root out the recipe.

I googled my symptoms, diabetes and low thyroid function came up. As I already knew I had diabetes i presumed that was the cause. Having said that, since ive been doing this lchf plan ive not needed a nap during the day and only woke once through the night compared to every hour previouslyMy hair has been getting very thin over the last few months, is that a diabetic thing?
And I'm so glad I live alone, there's no-one tempting me with goodies I can't eat!

staffys get such a hard time in the press. My girl grew up with my boys and I never had a days trouble. My ex hub kept her when we split-i was heartbroken leaving her, then 4 years ago he messaged me New Year's Day to tell me he'd got drunk and had kicked the living daylights out of her because he was angry that his texts wouldn't send. She came to live with me that day and never went back. I will never get over the guilt of leaving her and her going through that. She was such a beautiful gentle dog who just didn't deserve such cruelty. And she still ran to greet him when he came to visit our children. Gosh ive got myself crying now, I do miss her so muchSandy is a staffy cross, a rescue dog, she has such a lovely nature. Husband has arthritis and walking her when i was at work has helped keep him active.
I just wish I could drink something stronger than water. Alcohol just doesn't agree with me, makes me feel sick and im too much of a self control freak to be even slightly tipsy lolHope she's ok! I know what a worry they are, my 12 year old has pancreatitis but seems to be doing ok with the meds he's on. We lost his Mum last July, she was 14 and in a lot of pain, still miss her
Just saw your wine comment, I think it's great I can drink red wine without it affecting my BG
Your wish is my command
Mug cake
Peanut cookies (just put a square of 70% choc on top as they cool).
Thank you so much, they sound easy enough that even i might manage them. Can't wait to give them a try. Yum!!!Your wish is my command
