has anyone else be prescribed the drug Dapagliflozin for bringing down high blood sugar levels ? I am type 2 but have been on insulin for the last 27 years and I wondered what anyone else's thoughts were of taking this tablet.

When I was diagnosed in late June I was given metformin but after a week felt so awful so saw nurse practitioner and expected to be swapped to the slow release but he gave me forxiga, it was then/still is, a new drug. I took to it fantastically, just a very mild and brief episode of thrush for a few days then nothing since. I've been lchf steadfastly and upped my water intake a lot, from hba1c of 61 june to 53 in 6 weeks and 12 weeks later, up to the end of December 4 1/2 stone list too!! As of 3 weeks ago I'm now currently meds free to see how I go and so far my daily levels haven't really altered overall (except the random Wierd ones from the batch number 44 a lot of us are having!!) I see my dn next week to see how it's gone, next hba1c due in April. I know I'm still losing weight too just lchf and exercise.....hope I'm of help!
