Data Nerdery and recording

Hi everybody,
I use an excel spreadsheet with multiple worksheets covering home blood tests, food diary, GP blood results and all the information from my daily weigh-in on my biometric scales i.e. weight, BMI, Bodyfat, visceral fat, muscle weight, hydration level, protein weight etc. I also have graphs generated in the spreadsheet for daily weight, bodyfat and muscle weight.
I had been thinking the latter was a bit OTT but I recently gained a couple of pounds and I could see immediately from the graph that it was muscle (I spent 8 months last year with a hernia which meant I couldn't exercise as hard as normal. I lost 2 lbs of muscle during that period). That alone made the daily 2 minutes entering the data worthwhile!
I would recommend anybody with an interest in their health to record all data for which you want to monitor trends.
Pete
