Hi, been lurking here for a while now, picking up more decent info than I ever got from my diabetes consultant who I detest, anyhoo back to my question. Non diabetic blood sugar levels-what should they be?
My daughter is convinced she's diabetic as she had a blood sugar level of 6.2, personally I would be chuffed to bits with that but according to her media

There has to be two consecutive fasting bood tests of 7 and over to be diabetic. Was that 6.2 result a finger prick test ?

Hi, sorry some how my tablet posted half the message before I finished. I love technology.
They took one test, ate, waited 2 hours and did a second. Her first result was 5.8 the second was 6.2 she's now off to the doctors in a panic.

Hi they did 2 tests both below 7.
The med student is a pain, always with the worst possible diagnosis! God help his patients when (if) he qualifies
