well on day 2 food wise its ok basically i just eat what ever i have cooked for everyone else i just remove the carb stuff and sling more veg on my plate seems really strange using real butter again and eating cheese and the joy of frying my cold veg (left over from yesterday) in butter was amazing it tasted so good. didnt get my nova rapid right after my lunch though and ended up with really low levels 2 hours after lunch so will have to try to recalculate that , oh can anyone tell me is it normal to be really really thirsty on a low carb diet i have been drinking a lot today, other than that i must admit im not hungry inbetween meals and am loving what i eat
any one got any ideas on a quick low carb lunch im back at work tommorow and only have a 15 min break normally i just throw a sandwhich down my neck dont have time to chew lol so need something filling but not large if you see what i mean
Hi Meggit, well done with the changes you have made. I definitely feel more thirsty on a lc diet and the extra water can help fill you up so I embrace drinking plenty.
Lunch could be a salad if you have the ingredients in with cheese and mayonnaise to fill you up, or cold chicken, hard boiled eggs, ham and cheese rolls ups, cherry tomatoes I have been known to pick up some hot roast chicken from tescos or asda.
I enjoy a tub of cottage cheese with low carb crackers and a tomato or instead of the cottage cheese a tub of egg mayonnaise sandwich spread - I'm never hungry after that and I can't eat a whole tub at one meal but it's great on crackers, it's easily bought and it's ready to go.
