Hi, I'm the mum. The mum who's visiting the teenage daughter while she is spending a few months in Australia. She's not there long enough to enrol in medicare etc but longer than she first thought. So now she's going to need a libre sensor freestyle 2 or two to see her through. I'm going anyway, so can I put them in my luggage for her but do I need to declare them on arrival? I can't find any specific answers anywhere to this. I assume it's ok since you can buy these on line regardless of prescription or not. They are not pumps and don't have any medicine in them obviously. It's just the needle bit/sharps that might be the problem. It's just way cheaper to take some than it is to buy out there and she has no postal address. So -- can I take some with me or not, that's the bottom line? Thank you. Over to you, the experts!!!

No problem just taking them with you!

Enjoy your trip!

I was going to ask something similar.
Are they OK to go as hold baggage?
Electronics are usually in carry on.

They are just bluetooth. If they are not being worn then I imagine they temperature in the hold won't effect them. Electric toothbrushes go in the hold with no problem, they're elecrtical bluetooth. ... (thinking out loud)

I always carry electronics in my hand luggage, but keep them in a separate plastic bag so easy to retrieve if they want to have a look at them.

You can put them in the hold, but I wouldn't because if baggage doesn't arrive at the same place I do I'd be without during my trip. New underwear and toothbrush are easy to fix, a new sensor not so much.
Insulin, meter and teststrips I would absolutely never let travel outside my view.
