deep sleep

Hi. I am type 2 diagnosed about 9 months ago. Taking metformin and appear to be in control (as far as the odd blood test shows) don't get the strips on prescription so don't test myself regular. Anyway I have a question. A few mornings ago I mentioned to my husband that I had had a wonderful sleep and didn't wake once in the night. He was surprised by this as apparently the phone had rang twice in the night and I answered it both times. I have no recollection of this and even checked the call log on the phone. Could this be due to the diabetes or just that I was really tired. Thank you.
