Hi,
My numbers have come down and into the single digits, but I have still got the tiredness and feeling exhausted very easily - already had my vitD and b12 checked I have been drinking a lot but I think maybe I’m feeling like this is due to dehydration because my numbers are better and for example, I can be 5.4 and I could still be tired and slow at work I’m probably going to ask my dr to do more checks on why I’m feeling like this. But my numbers are down and no longer high anymore which is good just need to get the other things sorted now.
Hi there - From memory, I recall you were running quite high for some time. My feeling would be that on that basis, whilst it's wonderful your numbers are in a better place, it could take your body a little while longer to recover from the assault it has had with the high numbers.
Of course, I'm not suggesting you ignore the fatigue, and it would certainly be hard to argue against things being checked. Better safe than sorry, but all that's a discussion you need to have with your Doc.
How did you manage to get the numbers down eventually?
Congratulations on getting those numbers down! That is a huge step, and I remember how stressed and worried you were with all those HI readings.
It has taken a while, but your patience has paid off.
Are you still on the fixed doses of insulin?
If so, you may need to watch for hypos, as the reduction in carbs continues to pay off.
I hope your doc is pleased about the reduction in your high numbers.
I am so pleased your numbers are coming down, you have done really well. I agree with above comments, hydration is importmant. Yes, sleep can be an issue. As time goes on, and your body gets used to it, you may find that fatigue goes away. Hang in there, you are doing great.
If you have switched to low carb (or very low carb), then you may find this link interesting, so that you don’t make any ‘newbie mistakes’. Sometimes tiredness can be a sign that you need to tweak your food intake a little, or add more salt, and so on.

Hope that helps
