I have always brushed my teeth well, but at the age of 16, had my first filling. Over the next 20 years I had many clear dental visits, but about a dozen invasive procedures, mostly fillings. Then I got diabetes and substantially reduced my carb intake. Over the following 20 years I have not had a single invasive dental procedure. Has anyone else noticed anything similar? Has diabetes improved or worsened your dental health?
According to my dentist diabetes should not affect your teeth and as the above poster has said it can however affect your gums.....hate the dentist at best of times 6 monthly visits is enough for me arghhhh
