advice needed, i'm a type 2 diabetic, i found out yesterday that i have a piece of tooth left behind after an extraction a few years ago, this piece of tooth needs to be removed, which means gum needs to be cut, also tooth next to it needs to be removed due to infection. i've been given the choice of another dentist doing it or having it done at hospital. what would people reccomend

even the dentist would or should surgest that the hospital is better set up for and more expreienced in this type of dentistry. so go hospital is the only sencible choice

The dentist wouldn't have suggested taking it out if its a difficult job if he took a X-ray it would show how the roots are and how far the fractured piece is.its what ever setting you find most comfortable . I'm a dental nurse feel free to ask any questions

Better go to hospital rather than under going a treatment at normal dental clinic.
