Desperately tired .. on the case!

This comment made me feel much better. I feel neurotic sometimes and I think people can see it when they look at me before I've even opened my mouth. Especially when they just sit there and gawp at me! (I usually have my own counterbalance strategies)
Most people don't have enough insight in this respect. You do though, otherwise you wouldn't have felt the need to quit practicing becuase of that attitude. I go out sometimes to do what I have to do and it's like an obstacle course for me and I'm relieved to get home. Somedays I can't leave the house at all.
All the best with your teaching!

I'm really glad that the post helped you to feel better. The terrible treatment that people who have anxiety disorders get is one of my hobby horses I'm afraid.
It takes great courage to face a world that feels hostile and judgemental (doesn't matter whether you are right or wrong about it, if you perceive the world to be that way, the fear you experience is very real for you).
I hope you find coping strategies that make life easier, until then make sure that you reward yourself for all the achievements that you make on a daily basis. When your front door feels more like a drawbridge, only the bravest person can pass through it anyway.

Thanks Ness. that's most encouraging. I need a T-shirt with 'handle with care' on it lol
I see signs for offering assistance to the Deaf, the Blind and those in wheelchairs but nothing for Nervous people.
For instance, when shopping in supermarkets and having to wait in long queues with noise all around. OOOh
I don't use the big supermarkets any more.

Had my bloods taken today. They are testing for Thyroid activity and Iron levels and Liver function. Should be interesting to see the results.
The nurse was ever so gentle. I explained that I'd be putting my finger in my ear and tapping my feet when she was drawing blood, silly isn't it, but it's not that nice. It's a big needle....

NOW, I have a fungusy toe... again.! Got the lacquer from the doc to fix it... I'm not even Diabetic yet... lol

All three tests came back normal... When I see the Doc next.. I will try to get the numbers off her.

What you described sounds similar to something I and other bodybuilders experience when on a cut with limited carb intake. Are you on a low carb diet? It's common practice to have a "refeed" day where you eat high carb, usually once a week to restore glycogen in the muscles and to get rid of that lethargic feeling.

Hope this helps.

When I have my bloods taken I look the other way and talk 19 to the dozen it is probably mostly pure waffle

thanks.. I';m not counting carbs although i do go for the lower carb options when I get the chance.

Well if you'd like you could record what you eat in one day and use a food database to see how many carbs you are getting:
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calorie-chart-nutrition-facts

Typically low carb is anything under 100g carbs a day depending on your size. And a high carb refeed day could be anything around or over 2x your bodyweight in lbs. Give it a go if you find you have been low carbing.

A possibility for those who wake not feeling refreshed is obstructive sleep apnoea. I was in that situation and investigations showed I had OSA. A CPAP machine has solved that problem. Perhaps it might be an avenue to explore if your blood tests are OK.

Hope this helps

Doug

I got the numbers off the Doc for the above test results....

Thyroid = 2.1
Hb = 15

Liver ... TBC
