Could someone help me with a carb snack that can stabilise a hypo other than a banana. I work in a school and we habe a child with both. My normal of a slice of toast or biscuit can't be used.
I’m not insulin dependent but shouldn’t a hypo should be treated with a fast acting, sugar carb? Toast and biscuits aren’t fast enough.
If it’s for the child then a plan will be in place for it’s specific needs.

Non gluten carb snack once over 4, try a small glass of milk that's good long lasting carbs. Or Nairns oatcakes are gluten free and around 5g carbs each. Or Kallo rice cakes are gluten free and about 9g carbs for the chocolate ones.
Any emergency snacks should really be packed in school bag by mum & dad I would imagine? So raid the bag and use whatever's in there.
