I have a question regarding the recommended weekly activity / exercise levels for Type 2 Diabetes. Does it have to be a little each day to get to the target levels or can it be done on 2-3 days a week? If one were to achieve or even exceed activity level target by concentrating it over 2 to 3 days does it have the same benefit as done gradually each day?
The 30 minutes of moderate exercise 5 days a week is based on some epidemiology study, I believe. There's no one size fits all answer. If you have a physical limitation that does not allow you to walk for 1/2 an hour straight, you just do as much as you can.
