Diabetes And Intelligence

How much of your improved performance I wonder was because you felt better physically and how much because you felt better mentally. Self esteem improves and with it mood. When you feel good mentally and physically, performance of any kind improves. Just random thoughts while reading this thread.

I agree as of relieving a disabilitating disease or it's symptoms eh?
I would be a lot more confident without diabetes. Then without being distracted by it's attention it needs on top. My mind is not performing well hyper or hypo. These symptoms have disorienting symptoms, so much so we shouldnt drive or use machinery.
So if a person's diabetes has no affects on them at all, then no affect on performance.
I, personally have my performance affected by diabetes so is that affecting intelligence?
I see intelligence as IQ. I see diabetes as a disability. Someone without diabetes has an advantage.
I just know my thyroid affects my singing performance too.

I agree. But most IQ tests are similar to an exam paper, well the multipul answer part anyway.
I come from an intelligent family on my father's side who have no diabetes. My mum's side less intelligent but have l old age type 2 in a great great aunt on that side. So incorporate all that my intelligence is in par but my 2 siblings have a considerable lower IQ. Soooo proven again intelligence is hereditary. Are you in par with your inherent IQ? Some might argue I'm more intelligent because of good controlled diabetes. I stand out like a sore thumb qualification wise. Only graduate amongst my siblings and cousins.

too low bloodsugars can result i brainddamages each time it is too low... and diabetes 1 is known to lead to the risk of more frekvent very low Lows than as do diabetes 2

The level of low required for brain damage is roughly below 2.2, shown in research on monkeys. This equates in most to hospitalisation. If you haven't been hospitalised due to hypos then it follows that you are unlikely to have suffered brain damage.

Well as a mathematician I can still count up the fingers on my hands 1 2 3 6 4 8 7 11 so no impairment here
