I have type2 diabetes and i am on a number of medications for it including inslutard. My trouble is that i have bipolar with frequent mood swings and my trouble is that when i am hyper or stressed i eat more and when i am low i crave sugar.I know that this can cause play havoc with my debetes but at these times i find it difficult to maintain a healthy balance.I have tried to approach the subject with all my key workers to no avail.Any ideas/suggestions please.

if you are already on insulin and happy to learn how to use it in a more complex regime, you could ask about basal/bolus. That's when you take the insulatard (background or basal insulin) but also give yourself injections of a fast-acting insulin each time you eat to cover the carbs in your food (bolus).
Then you can eat what you want to eat, and as much as you want to eat, as long as you match the insulin to it.
Most Type 1s are on this regime. Not all of us eat sugary things, but many do.
It does require more effort though because you have to inject more frequently and understand what the injections are doing.
It may not be a solution for you but it's worth knowing about.
