Two interesting short videos of showing life at a UK diabetes camp.
The first shows learning to carb count and how to deal with hypos. I know that some of our members who have had diabetes for a long time tell us that it's nothing new... here's the proof.
The second blood and acetone testing (urine testing) and learning to inject . I like the way these camps fostered independence at a young age. I think DUK does still run some but I don't think that they last for a fortnight.

Some other videos from DUK on this channel too.

Phoenix,

I found those videos heart breaking to watch, times have certainly moved on for the better, but watching those kids doing their clinitest checks brought back some painful memories. I wonder do these camps still exist today?
