DIABETES IN PET'S

As I have posteed elsewhere, I have a vet brother.
i would certainly not attempt to treat diabetes in a dog without the guidancce of a vet experienced in the disease. According to my brother, Dogs get T1 and Cats get T2. T1 isn't treatale without insulin.
If you have a dog, read the ingredients on the food. Dogs are actually fairly omnivorous. Mine love carrots and apples as well as their morning catfood and evening kibble. I feed catfood to my tiny dogs[Italian Greyhounds], because it has far less cereal than dogfood.

I asked my brohter, who is a very well qualified and respected vet in surrey, about cats being cired of diabetes. This is the relevant bit of his answer
