Hi All .
Just watched programme on 'monkeys' - Monkey Life in Dorsett South Africa.
A team is transporting a possible diabetic [large size/weight] female monkey to be started on a
healthy eating regime and test her again for 'Diabetes' etc ...

Now - what amazes me  is they have fed her Mc Donalds fries/burgers [including a diet coke too  !]
during her transport - this is dreadful
Fast food during her transport prior to a new healthier regime and routine !!!!

Why cant they have taken some fruit/veg more suitable for her :?: :?: :?: :?:
Easy enough to carry and provide during her transport too ...

What are these so called monkey experts doing :***:
Monkeys dont have a mc donalds in the jungle's or forests do they :x

Anna.

It seems diabetes is quite common in captive monkeys. I looked it up once when this post caused a bit of confusion in the ranks

If you follow the link in my post there, lots of detail and a list of things that Monkeys that develop diabetes may 'have in common'
Sounds like this poor monkey was accustomed to a poor diet
