i see the diabetic nurse at my gp surgery and not the diabetic clinic at the hosptal
can i ask to see the clinic as they are more qualified?

Well you could ask, they normally only see people at the hospital clinic if they are having difficulties with their control or are pregnant for example, I think (although I may be wrong) it's mainly only those who are insulin treated that they mostly see.

I am not sure how I would phrase that without causing offence.

What makes you think the hospital nurses will be more qualified?

the nurse that i see said they are more qualified
i didn,t realise they only saw type1 diabetics

I used to see hospital DNs and I was type 2 on insulin then Glic then D&E, but then i started there with insulin & weaned off!

thankfully i,m not on insulin

so glad you,re not either now
