Hi,

Im T2 and have been for over 2 years. Due to Pancreas issues I'm now starting insulin and have come off glicazade. As a result my levels are up and down whilst we find the right dosage.

Due to my levels being high, about 10 and down from about 16 I've been suffering from diabetic rage. Yes this is a thing and I've seen other posts almost disclaiming this and blaming the person who needs support.

I'm doing the hydration, box breathing and protein intake to try to help.

I'm not being nasty to people as a result, though I do have bite my tongue.

What are other people's experiences if they've gone or going through this? How do you destress yourself?

Please be supportive

Good job reducing from 16 down to 10's.

Would be a good idea to update your profile treatment type to include insulin regime.

Stress relief - go for walks/hike swimming other activities which find relaxing, waterfall trail hikes i find very calming taking mind off things, the sound of water wind trees rustling etc. other activies such as listening to audio books. What are some of your favourite hobbies and interests?

Hopefully your new treatment regime helps to regulate sugar levels. Some stress/anger should get better over time took several weeks to get balance in treatment right for me (t1/lada), family members said was very easily irrateable for a few weeks they haven't said anything on that front since glucose levels been better controlled, sugars were all over the place for a few weeks before acceptable levels.

Have a wee read through the following couple of links: https://www.livewellsouthwest.co.uk.../08/Moodjuice-dealing-with-stress-booklet.pdf
alongside https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesse...p-guides/problems-with-anger-self-help-guide# should be a few things within there which you may find helpful.

Unsure if you use a cgm or not with your regime. couple free trials available https://dexcom.com/en-GB/dexcom-one-plus-sample alongside https://www.freestyle.abbott/uk-en/getting-started/sampling.html

would speak to healthcare team and ask for an education course to assist with adjusting your dosage(s) if haven't already.
