Diabetics R Us

@heh have you tried having a walk after your tea? I make sure I go out most nights, even if for only 15 minutes. It really helps the digestion.

I'm a little hacked off today had a salad for lunch thinking being good mainly green salad with cheese and egg and bg went up to 9.4 now pre dinner I'm at 8.7 and my predicted A1c is now over 40 what's a person to do.

I am sorry. It must be heart breaking, but you know it has to be your steroids doing it. If you are stuck with your recent increased dose, maybe it is time to consider some diabetes meds to help you out?

Thanks and yes I have started back on metformin for a while and discussed things with my neurologist yesterday and he is happy for me to step preds back down a little in a couple of weeks.

Well just a couple of days back on meformin and already have the metformin blues, don't think I will be getting much sleep tonight.

Could someone give me a hand? You know that there WhatsApp thingy? What does it mean when instead of getting little arrows next to a message you get what looks like a little clock?

I think I drowned my phone when I knocked a full glass of water over it, either that or my eldest is ignoring me!

It hasn't been able to send your message. Normally happens when there's no wifi signal and/or you haven't turned on internet, so check that first. Otherwise, could well have something to do with the glass of water.
One of the downsides of low carbing is not having a bag of rice in the house to immerse your phone in after wet accidents...

Thanks, Antje. I blummin' hate mobile phones. Harumph!

You are a star! I fiddled with wifi and all is well now. And got a message from my eldest almost immediately (he's a lovely lad, I won't have a wrong word said!).

Historical moment. I helped someone out with technical problems with a device I'm a bit afraid of, whoopwhoop! (I only knew because my garden seems to be a black spot, both wifi and normal internet wise, so I get the little clock thing all the time when trying to harass people with pictures of my guinea-pigs, chickens or unknown plants.
Worse is that I get no phone signal either in my garden so it already happened that my friends called my neighbour to check up on me.

And you kept a family together!

Had my flu jab on Saturday. Eye screening went well today, and I've booked in for my next bloods and annual review appointments. Oh, and an optician's appointment. Life is just such fun!

Yes, I get those weeks sometimes. All medical appointments of one sort or another. Great fun. Not.

2017 was like that for me. All blummin' year. Even had my ears hoovered for the first time, now that was a new one on me and it certainly won't be happening again, I can tell thee!

It hurt me. I mean, it really hurt.
Edit to add. This wasnt for wax it was for removal of build up of plaques due to otitis externa. It felt like the hoover was made of offcuts of Brillo pads.
