Diagnosed Before 2 yrs old

Anyone here know of someone or have a child diagnosed before they were 2 years old? What is your story? Signs symptoms?
 
I was 2.5 ish, my mam Then I had no nappy on and was asleep on the sofa (green cloth I think) I had a wee and when it dried my mam said it looked just like a puddle of sugar.

I was taken straight into hospital and diagnosed.
 
I have a 14 month old that seemed to always get sick. He has tube due to ear infections that wouldn't clear up. Over last few weeks. Fussing at night multiple naps through the day. Mood swings, increased appetite, sweats, urination, stomach upset. Yesterday was the game changer when he let out the most awful scream and continued until I gave him a couple juice boxes to chug. He did that twice and noticed some shaking. I am taking him for blood test today
 
I was diagnosed a week after my 1st Birthday. My mum said I drank a ton of juice constantly. I was sick a couple of times in bed, I needed the toilet a lot and was very tired. My mother knew something was up though and she said I was acting completely out of the ordinary.
 
I hope everything turns out ok, being diagnosed at anytime is bad enough but at such an early age is not nice at all (but alot better than is was in the 70,s)
 
I was 16 months old when I was diagnosed. Apparently I lost loads of weight all at once with constant wet nappies. Mom always says that she just couldn't keep me dry, even with doubling up the nappies. I completely refused to walk anywhere and just clung to my parents all the time too apparently. Good luck with the blood test.
