Hi Sugarpie.
Well, I will be joiningyou on the weihjtloss thing after I have my baby next week. To make you feel a bit better, I am only 5ft and weigh (without baby!) about 9 1/2 - 10 stone...so you are starting from a better place than me! W are also on similar levels of insulin
As t1, I have lost weight in the past, and that was by the good old eating less calorioes route...which in turn, becasue I mainly ate lots of veg, less insulin, and it worked! The rather depressing thing was that I did the diet with my husband and a few friends, and my weight loss was far slower than everyone elses. I would have weeks where there was no change..and then a sudden drop of a few pounds, and then a another week or 2 of no change.
I really wish there was an easier way..but ultimately, we have tocontrol our diabetes 1st, which in my case at least, means that the diet is a long term thing.
To be honest, reading you stats, you don't really have that much to lose, and this in itself can make it harder! If you were 15 stone, the changes that you have made would have already made a big impact.
