I follow the posts in this forum avidly and think that low carb is the way forward for me. However, I am not really sure about the fat I should be eating .. ie quantity, type etc.

Let's say that on a typical day I ate the following ..

Breakfast - 2 egg omelette, bacon and mushrooms.
Lunch - Mixed salad with something like prawns/tuna/salmon.
Dinner - Sprouts, green beans and maybe chicken or gammon.
Drinks - Water, tea, coffee, flavoured sparkling water

What I would like to know is a) Does this look okay in general?
b) Is there enough fat? If not, how can I eat more?

I will be grateful for any feedback, I am so very confused about the whole food thing. Have spent hours and hours researching, reading and basically tying myself up in knots but not moving forward.

Thank you.

Hi Suzanne,

That looks brilliant to me - just what I would eat.
If you want to try adding a bit more fat then just add some cheese to the omelette or some mayo to the salad or have a sugar free jelly with some double cream... but if this is working for you and you are managing your levels then just continue.

Well done!

I was just gonna say sugar free jelly and double cream and if you really wanna fat it up with a treat add a dollop of clotted cream yummy!
