So, I’m looking at different insulin pumps to the omnipod (which I’m currently using) the options are Combo, Insight and Medtronic 640g does anyone know the pros and cons of these?

Hi, I recently went to an insulin pump information evening.. some of the pros about the combo is that it has a wireless controller so that the pump can stay in your pocket and you can bolus from the controller (which is also the blood glucose meter. The insight is a newer version of the combo which has a touch screen controller, however they take pre filled insulin pump carts which mean if you need more than 160 U of insulin per 3 days then it probably isn’t the best choice. With the Medtronic 640g you can connect a cgm which will prevent hypos, you can also manually enter in your blood sugar readings which you can’t do with the Roche accucheck pumps. For example, if you use a Libre sensor, you can use that data and manually enter that into your pump - less finger pokes than with the other two pumps.
