Went out for dinner tonight to Hix in soho. Decided I'd be a little freer in my food choices as it was a special occasion.

Decided pre Mel, based on my menu choices, that 4u should suffice in insulin terms.

Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce and Pork Scratchings to start with kept well within LC. The homemade fish fingers and chips perhaps not so much. Tasted good though.

What was perhaps more interesting was the two hour delay for my bg levels to pick up and fit into the insulin. Classic view of deep fried potatoes not being absorbed quickly. Still. Not a huge drop or jump, and a very tasty meal with some nice wine! New I should have asked for something instead of chips...

Sounds like a nice outing. When a restaurant describes an item as "home made", does that mean someone made it at home and brought it to the restaurant?
