Well, I have upped my fat intake now for about a week, was already pretty low-carb but have tightened up on that too, had a day with a rather unpleasant metallic taste which went after I 'eliminated' for Wales, but now I am experiencing some paler, floaty and fatty stools which may be indicative of bile deficiency.

I am not sure if it is that or whether it is just due to some weight loss (about 5lbs - 3 of them overnight after the elimination). My body always seems to have had problems eliminating toxins for some reason and the weight loss may have precipitated some toxins being released as my lymph glands are up a bit under my left armpit (that seems to be par for the course when I lose weight these days)

Sorry if this is TMI, but I just wondered if anyone else experienced similar issues when they started the diet and whether it resolved itself?

Sounds very similar to my "toiletry experience". I have put it down to cauliflower, nuts and cream and left me confused by another low carb constipation thread. No such trouble here.

Reminds me of rear end surgery when given caster oil on a regular basis while still in hospital.

i was taught years ago, that you SHOULD produce "floaters" rather than "Sinkers"

Really???? I thought that was indicative that there is not enough bile. I will have to do some research on that!!!

Who were you taught that by?

That has always been my understanding too. Floaters seem much easier to pass. Good hydration is also important for this.

When I initially went on the lower carb path I noticed an almost immediate change in my bowel health. I don't know if this was simply down to eating better - freshly prepared food and a lot of raw - or due to the reduction in carbs. What I do know is that if I don't drink enough I still get the sinkers.
