I'm using the GlucoRX lancing device and Lancets and I'm finding it difficult to draw blood when using it. I've had it for a few years now and wondered if perhaps it's gotten weak over time and needs replacing.

Do they get weak over time?

Can I buy a new one from my pharmacy?

I'd imagine the spring mechanism will weaken over time, just ring the manufacturer up and requet a new one.

As @noblehead has said, the spring becomes weak over time (6 months for me) so I emailed the supplier and a new one arrived in two days. No need to buy one.

or blag one off your DN (thats what I did when I broke mine)
Thanks lessci - I'm not sure about approaching my DN as I don't want to draw attention to my testing as I'm now off insulin and don't want them to stop my strips on prescription.

Thanks June_C - I thought it might have gone weak. I've been on the GlucoRX site and sent a message to them. Hopefully get a response next week.
