Hello, I am diabetic type 1 since May of this year. At the beginning I could manage my diabetes, but lately because of my job that I work different shifts on nights and then on days plus stressful job is not helping me and I have up and downs in my glucose levels. So, I was wondering if it is possible if the doctor gives me a letter saying that is not recommended for me working on nights. Someone knows anything? is this possible? In m job they requested my this and if I have they will take my off nights.

Thanks
Laura

Hi Laura and welcome to the forum. If they are a good employer and they have day shifts available, then it would be most likely to work. If they don't have day shifts available, then they might not want to keep you on nights since they could get into trouble for contributing to your ill health, and you could lose those shifts, potentially. It depends on what the law is like where you live, so I think others will be able to advise you about that. Good luck and I hope you are feeling better soon.
