Type 2 Does Metmorfin affect your eyesight?

not sure if its my creeping age or the type 2 diabetes or the metmorfin but my eyesight has been worser at times lately,

I can see fine with my glasses on but i noticed its more blurry without them than ever before

Mind you my eyes now seem to be dry

Im on 3 x 500mg of metmorfin a day

Maybe time to consider a eye doctor ??? Hope it doesnt get worser, anyone had to have laser treatment ?
 
Never heard this about metformin, but changing bg definitely gives you blurry vision. So if you've been running high for a while and the metformin helps with lowering your bg you might have blurry vision for a while. The other way round is the same.
So have your blood sugars significantly gotten better or worse lately?

I have had a Yag laser capsulotomy done a couple of years ago here in Bundaberg, which is a painless procedure.

I have not had retinal zapping done though.
 
I havent tested lately as I went on vacation and more or less lost interest.

I will head over to Specsavers on Tuesday to get my eyes tested

I may have to get a referral to see a disbetes eye doctor ( if their is such a thing?)

Hate to lose my eyesight

Specsavers or OPSM optometrists are authorised to write referrals if needed..

Eye doctors are called Ophthalmologists, and have a longish waiting list in the public system.
