Just had a blow out on the motorway, scary stuff, tested when I got home and got the highest reading I've ever had! Feeling very jittery!

Does getting very stressed raise blood sugar?

Yes. I'm not sure by how much but the release of stress hormones triggers the release of glucose as you are in flight or tight mode and need the energy. I suffer from chronic anxiety and am sure it has contributed to my developing diabetes.

Almost certainly does, what a scary experience and hope your fine now.
