I’d be surprised if you couldn’t find it. Librelink was on at least one of the sites, can’t remember which I saw it on.
I suggest just having a search around to be sure, and check version level.
HTH
Just had a dig around. I used the Apkpure way back when I was messing about. I checked and Minimed Mobile is on there. Version 2.8.0 is on there and Play Store.
If I remember correctly I did download it, and presumably used it, when I was living in a parallel universe wanting to ditch google. Switched back to the dark side as stuff got harder to achieve.
YMMV and I hope. It does.
HOWEVER you are still wasting your time you can't prevent google knowing.. you are aware android is owned by and written by Google so your only way to stop them knowing is to move to another os
Yes BUT the medtronic app is very particular about what it does and does not run on.. and these checks are done server side.. so unless exact the right data is being pushed back to the server the app does not run i can not confirm it runs on a stripped rom as not bothered with this phoneNot strictly the case. Firstly there are custom roms built from AOSP, and you can add to that as much or little as you want of google. If that is too strong for you, there are many sources of info of de-googling standard phone roms. FWIW I run a pixel 6a but have the os hardened a bit, with very little info going back to google, no location stuff, no history saved, no cookies saved….
It’s a balance of pig-headedness vs convenience of all those services. I often have a chat with myself about my paranoia of who’s watching.
Stacks we could discuss on this, but limited value for the audience here. Better places to hang out.
Keep us informed, and for me, exactly how de-googled you go, and what you think of the experience.thanks for the replies both, guess we will just have to see how it all pans out......
I used to root and flash roms almost daily at one point.. and titanium backup being my favourite tool..Fair comment. There could be dependencies required. It was intended as a generic reply clarifying possibilities. As I said, my days of that level of fiddling are gone. I do run linux on a macbook though.
