On the one hand, I was feeling sorry for you for the strain of having a family member with credentials giving you bad dietary advice, but then I thought, Hey! You're kind of a leader in the forefront of what works in diabetic diets, so, you could probably have a good influence on your sister who will go on to give many of her patients helpful dietary advice once she starts seeing the diet working for you. Nothing beats teaching by visual example.
Well today my friends I have let my barriers down.I am staying with my daughter who has cancer staying at the moment. Not indulging too much and keeping note of carbs and Cal's I do have.But I am not craving sweet things like I used to, since I have been on low carb.I will get back to testing ketones but at the moment keeping an eye on my intake and looking out for my daughter.I will be back from time to time.So grateful for this forum bless you all.xxxx
