I am type two aged 67 -on insuline(Abasaglar)-27 units perday taken at 10pm. Was tried on Metformin SR as well as but had to come off with the usual issues. Now my DN and a hospital diabetic nurse have put me on Trulicity( dulaglutide 0.75) .this is weekly to be used with the insulin. Has anyone used this as ive googled reviews and to be honest it reads like your worst nightmare of a drug -worse than metformin and people are saying they wont take again.Im now reluctant to even try it .
On insulin im on around 27 units taken at 10pm so before breakfast readings are rangeing from 3.3 to 11.0.However by 9pm i have gone up to 27-30(so suspect it loses it potency).
At 3.3 to 6.00 ive had what i see as a white light with sometomes a black spot in the centre -lasts around 2 minutes then goes-retinopathy for last few years have not shown a problem an its only happening since going on insulin-DN aware but hasnt an answer
Advice please
